Cats and Rats and Puppy Dogs

Volunteers come in to work daily with the dogs, such as this puppy with a jumping problem. Patience and kindness go a long way.
I keep noticing how the kitty room attracts beautiful young women.

Did you ever try to photograph a moving rat? They just don't stand still - unless someone is holding them still. This is one of two that were donated to the Humane Society when the owners discovered they were allergic to them.

The kitty room also attracts cute kids, like my favorite model (below). She was trying them all on for size and would only let me photograph her - her father tried. I think it's funny that her eyes seem to match that of each kitty she's holding.

Animals seem to be instinctively wary of young children.

Bisquit, the Fashionista

Bisquit, above, is a very discerning dog. The one year old chihauhua/terrior mix is looking for an adult who is as fashion conscious as she is, someone who appreciates the beautiful clothes and accessories that Bisquit enjoys wearing. Bisquit loves adults but is uncomfortable around children.

This puppy was found abandoned in an empty house.

This was the day everyone was getting neutered. Back the next day to recover.
